Asking God for Wisdom

Wisdom, knowledge and understanding is a great thing to have and to hold onto in this life journey.  James 1:5 suggests that if any lack wisdom, to ask of God, and He will give it to you.  Ask in faith, believing you shall receive it and you will get it.  It may not come the way you think it's going to come.  Remember, God's way and timing is not the same as our way and timing.  Isaiah 55:8-9.  God says "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts".

Therefore, be careful of what you are asking for.  It may come with a trial, tribulation, temptation, circumstance or situation.  It may come swift and easy or it may come long and harsh.  But, either way it comes, rest assured that God will perfect everything that concerns you and His plans for you.  Ecclesiastes 1:18 tell us that "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow".  Don't let this stop you from asking God for wisdom.  Wisdom is one of the gifts from the HOLY SPIRIT and you are going to need and use it for the rest of your life in this earth.  For your spiritual health, your family guidance, raising your children, employment selections, choosing your spouse, and other choices in you life.  Father loves it when we come to Him and ask, seek and knock.  He is our Father and He welcomes communion and communication with Him.  Call upon Him while He is near.  Speak His word over your and your loved ones life.  Hunger and thirst for His will and way and He will supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

The LORD is your Shepherd, you shall not want.  Psalm 23:1

Prayer

Father, we boldly come to the throne thanking you for mercy and grace to live this life in the earth.  We honor You and give You glory for the rest of our days.  You supplied every need inside of us before we were placed into our mother's womb.  You left nothing to chance Father.   We will activate the measure of faith You have given us and we will live that abundant life that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for, that we may have.  Your word is truth O God, for You can never lie.  We will meditate and study your word Lord, for it is marrow to our bones.  We will learn to live life in expection, looking towards the hills from whence cometh our help.  We will commune with the HOLY SPIRIT daily, rejoice in His presence, delight in His instructions and be very careful not to grieve Him with our words or actions.  He is a gift to us and we will honor our gift.  We bless Your Holy name and will be witnesses of Your glory in the earth.  Amen
